Known as the highest altitude tournament in the country, the Vail Lacrosse Tournament is a family-friendly competition, drawing nearly 2,000 players and 3,000 spectators to the Vail Valley! One of the few high-altitude tournaments of its kind, the event draws participants from around the country to compete while taking in the gorgeous Vail landscape and all the activities the area has to offer. Each summer FCA invites talent from around the country, taking multiple Boy and Girls teams to breathtaking Vail, CO to compete in the Vail Lacrosse Shootout. This year the tournament will be held from June 21st-23rd.
Although the lacrosse in Vail will be amazing, one of the highlights of this trip is the off field fellowship and ministry that takes place. Our off the field activities will include team Bible studies and Huddles surrounding the FCA National theme for the summer. Each huddle is led by current college players. And of course, let’s not forget the opportunities to go white water rafting and even a late night ranch style cookout!
FAQ’s
Games start on Monday, June 17th and are played till Wednesday, June 19th. We ask that families to arrive in Vail by 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 16th if possible. The tournament ends in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 19th. Keep in mind on this day that Championship Games usually end around 1:00pm, plus with group pictures, good-byes and a two-hour drive to the airport it is challenging to leave on Wednesday. This is why we encourage everyone to fly out on Thursday, June 20th. Family are more than welcome to come into Vail earlier or stay later for family vacation time.
