FCA Mission / History

About FCA, FCA Lacrosse and the FCA Lacrosse Maryland Club Program:

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) was founded in 1954.  FCA Lacrosse was founded in 1988 with a desire to help lacrosse players, coaches and all whom they influence fulfill their God given potential on the field and off.  FCA is committed to developing three-dimensional athletes and coaches – mental, physical and spiritual.

The Vision of FCA is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

The Mission of FCA is to present to coaches and athletes and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

The Values of FCA are Integrity (demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately and publicly,) Serving (model Jesus’ example of serving,) Teamwork (express our unity in Christ,) and Excellence (honor and glorify God in all we do.)

The FCA Lacrosse Maryland Club program was started in 2012.  The goal of the FCA Maryland Club Program is to provide highly dedicated and skilled youth lacrosse players the opportunity to compete at a high level, develop their skills and God given potential while facilitating intentional opportunities to grow in their relationship with God.  Our hope is to develop Christ-centered leaders in the lacrosse community who maximize their God-given purpose and potential on and off the field.
