A Potomac, Maryland native, Mark was a three-year letter winner and team captain at Gonzaga College High School who helped lead his school to back-to-back conference championships. He was also ranked third in the nation by Under Armour Inside Lacrosse. Mark continued his lacrosse career with University of Detroit-Mercy’s Division I Men’s program where he started all 14 games as a freshman and was named MAAC’s Rookie of the Year, All-MAAC Second Team, and All-Rookie Team. He was a five-time MAAC Rookie of the Week and earned Offensive Player of the Week once. In addition, Mark was also listed among the top 25 rookies in all three of Inside Lacrosse’s Freshmen Rankings. During his sophomore year, Mark received the honors of Second Team All-MAAC, MAAC Offensive Player of the Week, and started in 11 of their 12 games (the only Titan to register a point in all 12 games). Mark is also a member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and the MAAC All-Academic Team. Mark is currently enrolled in Detroit’s five-year MBA program and will be graduating in 2018.
Mark has played with FCA Lacrosse in Lake Placid twice where he had an unbelievable experience as it was beyond just playing the game he loved with other guys but something so much deeper – he was able to play and fellowship with other Christian athletes, who by the end of the trip became his brothers. Seeing how the FCA Lacrosse Fellows Program has impacted and shaped previous interns, Mark wanted to be able to experience it for himself so that he could grow as a man and in his relationship with God.
