Mackenzie is a Cary, North Carolina native who played not only lacrosse but also basketball and ran cross country and indoor track at Green Hope High School. During her junior and senior lacrosse seasons, she was named a member of the U15 national team, Academic All-American and led her team to a conference championship and state championship as team captain. Mackenzie now plays for Campbell University’s Division I Women’s Lacrosse program where she has been a dynamic force on the attack, appearing in every game of her college career so far while also earning the honor of Big South Presidential Honor Roll in 2016. Being dual enrolled, Mackenzie will graduate in 2018 in International Business with her MBA while also minoring in Spanish.
Mackenzie is an FCA veteran – she was the President of her high school FCA Huddle and is currently serving as the Vice President of Campbell’s FCA Huddle; she also served as a Huddle Leader at Gettysburg Camp and Lake Placid in 2015 and 2016. In addition, Mackenzie has led the FCA women’s bible study for the past two years while also co-leading her team bible study.
Mackenzie is excited to be a part of the FCA Lacrosse Fellows Program because she knows that this opportunity brings together her two biggest passions in life – God and lacrosse – creating an open door to share how her love for Jesus impacts what she does on the lacrosse field. She looks forward to teaching kids that working hard and competing for the Lord is one of the most wonderful ways we can glorify Him, but at the same time showing them that their identities can be found in something bigger than themselves or lacrosse.
