FCA NATIONAL HS TEAM TOOK HOME WHAT EQUALS ITS SIXTH STRAIGHT U18 GOLD TITLE AT THIS YEAR'S SUMMIT CLASSIC.

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The Fellowship of Christian Athletes National HS team won the Boys 2017-2018 Gold division championship at the 27th annual Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse Classic presented by Subway.

The FCA team, featuring a list of players committed to top college lacrosse programs, rolled through most of its competition to run the table at 5-0 throughout the Summit Classic’s Scholastic Tournament.

It culminated with a 16-8 win over FCA’s Lake Placid rival – SweetLax. The win amounted to the sixth consecutive U-18 title for the FCA National HS team at Lake Placid.

Thomas Tenney, an attackman committed to the University of Denver, led the way in the win over SweetLax, registering five goals in the victory.

“This is the first time I’ve played with this group out here and the first time I’ve been to Placid,” said Tenney, who will attend the Hill Academy in Ontario this fall. “This is an awesome place to be. You play in the mountains and it’s beautiful out here.”

Tenney said he was blown away by the level of competition at the Summit Classic, but felt confident in the level of talent on the FCA roster.

“We had so much skill on this team. It’s great to play with a bunch of kids with such a good a handle on the game and lacrosse IQ and skill. Everything just clicked and it was a great time. This is definitely my favorite tournament I’ve done this summer.”
